Quartz

In the face of increasing difficulties in supplying quartz crystals for strategic applications such as space, defense and medical, Cristal Innov has resumed European production of very high-quality quartz and wafers.

QUARTZ Bars are from pure Z-zone Cristal Innov

Bars

Bars are from pure Z-zone, with or without seed, Y0, or pre-oriented for a specified cut (AT, SC…)

QUARTZ BLANKS OR WAFERS Cristal Innov

Blanks or wafers

  • Cuts (AT, SC, Z, X…)
  • Lapped, single side or double side polished
  • 5 mm to 150 mm

Hydrothermal synthesis

Cristal Innov has specialized in the crystallization of very high-quality quartz, by mastering the material, the specific cuts, and their characterization.

Both very slow growth rates – inhibiting the formation of defects –, and reproducibility make it possible to produce high-performance crystals for piezoelectric applications:

  • ultra-stable, low-noise resonators/oscillators
  • SAW sensors, inertial navigation system (accelerometers, gyroscopes…)
